Product description

Primrose Hydrangea Macrophylla Early Rosa Hydrangea 40cm Tall House Plant14cm Pot in Green; Magnificent heads of pink flowers. Position: bright, filtered light & afterwards in the garden in full sun or partial shade Soil: good potting compost, or outdoors in moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil Rate of growth: average to fast Flowering period: mainly summer Hardiness: fully hardy Current height: approximately 40cm (+ or - 10% including the pot) Pot cover: choose a 16cm pot cover to give a good fit over the pot The large pink flowerheads of these much-loved plants are really showy, and will last much longer than a bunch of cut flowers - provided the plants are kept well watered. Then, after the flowers have faded, they can be planted outside in the garden, where they will come back year after year. Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery pot). They do however make excellent potted plants, and if you wish to pot yours up, we do have a wide range of pots on our website to choose from. Garden care: Keep well watered and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser at regular intervals. If you plant it outside, leave the old flower heads in place through the winter. Keep in mind that if they are planted out in acidic soil, the subsequent flowers may be blue! As the new shoots start to emerge in spring cut back a third to a quarter of the previous season's flowering stems to the base and cut back the remaining flower heads to the first pair of buds. Indoor Plants

Liven Up Your Space with Indoor Plants

Indoor plants are more than just a trend — they’re a timeless way to breathe life, color, and tranquility into your home. Whether you’re transforming a small studio, refreshing a cozy nook, or adding personality to a minimalist interior, the right greenery can elevate your living space like nothing else. From sculptural succulents to lush hanging vines, indoor plants beautifully combine natural charm with homey emotion and style.

A World of Green at Your Fingertips

There’s an indoor plant for every personality and every corner of your home. Want something low-maintenance? Succulents and cacti are perfect companions with bold shapes and modern flair. Looking for air purifying options? Species like spider plants, peace lilies, and snake plants pull double duty — freshening your air while adding elegance to your décor.

For vertical interest, hanging or trailing plants like pothos and string of pearls make perfect choices for shelves, plant stands, and ceiling hooks. Larger floor-standing plants like fiddle leaf figs, rubber trees, and monstera are statement-makers, bringing bold structure and eye-catching beauty into any room.

Materials, Style, and Presentation

Beyond the plants themselves, how they’re displayed plays a major role in your home’s aesthetic. Planters, pots, and stands come in a variety of materials like ceramic, terracotta, metal, and woven textures like rattan and jute. Each option adds its own visual flavor — think earthy and warm, sleek and modern, or rustic and organic.

Choose minimalist stands for a clean look, colorful pots to reflect your playful side, or natural wooden planters for a calming, earthy atmosphere. With indoor plants, style blends seamlessly with substance, letting you express your personal vibe in every space.

What Affects the Price?

Prices of indoor plants can vary based on several factors, including plant type, size, growth stage, and rarity. Easy-care varieties like snake plants are usually more budget-friendly, while more exotic options like a mature fiddle leaf fig or rare variegated monstera can be on the pricier side. The quality and craftsmanship of the planter or pot also adds to the overall cost — ceramic and handcrafted containers typically command a higher price than plastic or composite ones.

Pick What Speaks to You

Whether you're working with a strict budget or ready to splurge on a centerpiece plant, there’s a range of indoor plants to suit every lifestyle and space. Think about your lighting conditions, how much care you're willing to give, and the overall mood you want to create. Do you want a calming oasis, a botanical statement wall, or just a little greenery to make your room feel complete?

Indoor plants let you be playful, expressive, and creative while offering proven wellness benefits — from reducing stress to improving air quality. They’re not just decorations; they’re living, growing design elements that give your space soul.

Ready to refresh your home with a touch of green? Dive into the endless possibilities of indoor plants and find the perfect match to bring your space to life.

Enhance Your Home With Indoor Plants: Insights and Tips

Plants like spider plants, snake plants, and peace lilies are excellent for enhancing air quality. These species are known for their ability to absorb pollutants and toxins from the air, making them ideal for bedrooms and living spaces. Besides improving air purity, they also add a touch of aesthetic elegance to any room, making them both functional and decorative.

While large plants like fiddle leaf figs and rubber trees make bold statements, they can be effectively used in small spaces by placing them in corners or beside furniture to avoid overcrowding. Opt for tall, narrow plants that grow vertically rather than horizontally to maximize space. Additionally, positioning these plants near a light source can help them thrive without taking up too much space.

Absolutely! Beyond the common ceramic and terracotta, consider using materials like metal for a sleek, contemporary vibe or rattan and jute for a rustic, natural feel. Each material brings its unique aesthetic to your decor, allowing you to customize the look of your indoor garden according to your personal style. Mixing materials can also create an eclectic look that is visually engaging.

When selecting a plant, consider your daily routine and plant care commitments. Low-maintenance plants like cacti and succulents are ideal for busy lifestyles, requiring minimal watering. If you have more time to dedicate, you might opt for high-care plants like orchids. Also, think about the light conditions in your home—some plants thrive in low light while others need plenty of sunlight. Aligning your choice with these factors will ensure your plants are both healthy and satisfying.
