Gubi - Chair Daumiller - Natural wood - Solid pine - Designer Rainer Daumiller; Gubi Chair Natural wood Wood. Dimensions: W 48.5 x D 46.5 x H 77.5 cm - Seat: H 46.5 cm. Of all the furniture created by German-born designer Rainer Daumiller, the Pine Daumiller Armchair is perhaps the one that best expresses his values and design approach. Its solid construction, simple form and sculptural expression pay tribute to Daumiller's affinity with Nature. The Daumiller Chair is constructed from durable Solid pine, just like the original pieces produced by Hirtshals Sawmill in 1977. The Rope seat adds to the retro expression of this Danish design classic. The Daumiller chair is inspired by the traditional Danish milking stool and Hans J. Wegner's China Chair. Daumiller wanted to create a chair that could withstand children's Toy and adults' parties, while at the same time having a sculptural form that was both radiant and timeless. The designer's choice of Pine as a material demonstrates a dedication to durability that was ahead of its time. At the end of the 70s, wooden furniture was dominated by Teak and Rosewood. The choice of Pine was in line with a growing awareness of sustainability and the need to carefully manage tropical forests.>Flash sale: special price for a limited time only.
