GUBI Multi-Lite pendant light, Ø 36 cm, brass/black; Multi-Lite pendant light: adjustable metal shade with variable light direction The Multi-Lite pendant light is based on a design by Danish designer Louis Weisdorf from 1972. The internationally renowned designer and architect skilfully expresses his design diversity in this piece. The lampshade is made of two outer metal elements in the shape of quarter spheres, which are held in place by an outer ring and can be arranged variably around two centrally positioned cylinders. The cylinders shield the light from the sides and allow it to escape upwards and downwards. The quarter spheres can be grouped together to form a hemisphere, for example, and either direct the light completely downwards, direct the light indirectly upwards or shield it from the sides. This not only allows you to create new lighting effects time and time again, but also a new look that acts as a creative eye-catcher. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1954, Louis Weisdorf worked in a wide variety of fields, including the construction industry and the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen, where he held the position of chief assistant for ten years. At the end of the 1960s, he opened his own studio together with architect Ole Panton. He worked both nationally and internationally and collaborated with well-known designers such as Poul Henningsen and Verner Panton. His works are also traded as collectibles at auctions. Founded in 1967, Gubi sells furniture and lighting of the highest quality worldwide, meeting even the most discerning demands. color: black, brass material: Steel
