Product description

Silentnight Miracoil Memory Cushion Top Mattress - 3ft Single; Designed to suit those who prefer a firmer feel, the cushion top mattress combines Silentnight39;s patented spring system and body-moulding memory foam. The high-tech memory foam layer is temperature sensitive and designed to soften when in contact with warm surfaces, moulding itself to your contours. It features layers of Eco-Comfort fibres that are designed to keep you cool and helps to regulate your body temperature during the course of the night. The fibres have been treated with Purotex - a natural treatment that combats allergens to create a safe, hypoallergenic and dust mite-free sleeping environment. Silentnight patented Miracoil interior has springs that are connected from head to toe, distributing weight up and down the mattress instead of across the width. In this way Miracoil creates individual sleep zones giving each person maximum support and importantly an undisturbed sleep throughout the night. Extra springs are concentrated in the centre third of the unit to create a supportive Posture Zone just where the body needs it most, in the lower back region.

Reflex Foam Mattresses

Find Your Perfect Level of Comfort: Reflex Foam Mattresses

A good night’s sleep starts with the right mattress, and reflex foam mattresses are a popular choice for comfort, support, and value. Whether you're upgrading your own bedroom, furnishing a guest room, or selecting the best sleep solution for growing kids, reflex foam mattresses offer the perfect balance of firmness and flexibility to meet your needs. Designed to contour gently to your body while providing essential support for pressure points, these mattresses are a smart foundation for healthier, more restful sleep.

What Makes Reflex Foam Mattresses Unique?

Reflex foam mattresses are made using high-density polyurethane foam that reacts quickly to movement and doesn’t sink in as deeply as memory foam. This means better spinal alignment and a firmer feel overall. Ideal for those who prefer a mattress that bounces back rather than hugging the body too closely, reflex foam provides excellent orthopedic support. It's especially great if you love a mattress that holds its shape well over time without compromising on comfort.

You’ll find reflex foam built into a wide range of mattress types, from standard options to more advanced hybrid models that combine features like springs or cooling gel layers. Whether you're after a slim, space-saving design or a deep mattress for plush comfort, there’s a reflex foam option to suit your sleep style.

Materials That Matter

The magic of reflex foam lies in its density and resilience. This high-density foam resists common problems like sagging or deformation and often lasts longer than traditional sprung mattresses. Many reflex foam mattresses also feature breathable layers or quilted covers to improve airflow and regulate temperature. Some even have hypoallergenic properties, ideal for allergy-sensitive sleepers.

Quality fabrics and carefully constructed layers lend each mattress durability and comfort. You’ll also notice variations in cover materials—from soft-touch knits to luxurious stretch fabric—designed not just for aesthetics, but to enhance your sleep environment.

What Influences the Price?

Prices for reflex foam mattresses can vary depending on several key factors. Thickness and foam density play a big role: thicker mattresses with firmer, high-resilience foam generally come at a higher price point. Layering with additional materials like memory foam or pocket springs can also raise the cost, along with premium finishing touches such as anti-allergy covers or zoned comfort systems. Well-known brands might charge more, but often bring added peace of mind with extended warranties and robust build quality.

Budget-friendly options are widely available too. These offer great value for money, especially in mattresses made for children’s rooms, student accommodation, or occasional guest use.

Choosing the Right Reflex Foam Mattress

When picking your perfect mattress, think about the level of support you prefer, your sleeping position, and how much space you have in your room. Side sleepers may prefer a slightly softer surface with extra cushioning, while back sleepers often benefit from firmer support. Reflex foam is especially good for those seeking a consistently firm feel without the sink-in sensation of memory foam.

Also consider mattress thickness, cover material, and whether breathability or hypoallergenic properties are important for your needs. From minimal and modern to plush and luxurious, there are options to fit every bedroom style and sleeper preference.

Reflex Foam Mattress Guide: Enhance Your Sleep Experience

Reflex foam mattresses are particularly beneficial for orthopedic support because they combine firmness with quick responsiveness. Unlike memory foam, which molds closely around the body, reflex foam rebounds faster and supports proper spinal alignment. This unique quality makes reflex foam ideal for those who need a firm support system during their sleep, helping to alleviate back and joint pain effectively.

The high-density polyurethane foam used in reflex foam mattresses is key to their durability and comfort. This type of foam resists issues like sagging and deformation more effectively than many traditional mattress materials. Additionally, the inclusion of breathable layers and quality cover materials such as cooling gel layers or quilted covers helps maintain a balanced sleep temperature while enhancing overall mattress longevity.

When selecting the thickness and density of a reflex foam mattress, consider your preferred sleep position and body weight. Firmer, denser mattresses offer better support for back sleepers and individuals with higher body weight, ensuring the mattress maintains its shape and effectiveness over time. Conversely, those who prefer a softer feel or sleep primarily on their sides might opt for a less dense mattress, which offers more cushioning.

Personal sleeping preferences play a critical role in choosing the right reflex foam mattress. For instance, side sleepers often benefit from mattresses with a softer surface to relieve pressure on hips and shoulders, while back sleepers might prefer firmer options for better alignment. Additionally, aspects like temperature regulation and hypoallergenic properties should be considered based on personal sensitivity and comfort needs, ensuring the mattress supports a restful night.
