The layers of natural fillings such as wool, cotton, cashmere and silk help to regulate body temperatures to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Sandwiched between these sumptuous natural layers is an interior made up of 1000 central pocket springs, with 4000 mini comfort tablet springs on both sides. Small in diameter compared to open coil springs, pocket springs are house in their own cloth sleeves and totally independent of any neighbouring springs. Reserved for premium mattresses, an added feature is side-stitching; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years for craftsmen to master. The side-stitching process involves the outer rows of springs being sewn to the mattress border by using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle. A highly skilled process, side-stitching ensures the mattress border will not bow out over time. It also provides edge-to-edge support across the mattress width.
