Alexander and Cole Tranquillity Pocket 5000 Lunar Plus Divan Bed - 2ft6 Small Single; Designed to offer the optimum support and comfort, the Tranquillity mattress combines body responsive pocket springs and natural fillings. Upholstered in a 100 Viscose fabric, it features 8kg per square metre of fillings; 4 times the amount found in other pocket sprung models. Natural fillings such as wool, cotton, cashmere and silk have the ability to regulate temperatures by drawing moisture away from the body. Supplied by AGRO, Europe39;s biggest spring supplier, the mattress core is made up of 2000 pocket springs with 1500 mini tablet springs on each side. Mini tablet pocket springs are specifically designed to instantly compress when pressure is applied, while providing the feeling of weightlessness. Housed in their own cloth sleeves, pocket springs are totally independent of any surrounding springs, resulting in piston-like support to each part of the body. An added feature to the mattress is its hand side stitched borders - A labour intensive and intricate process performed by experienced craftsmen. Using a long upholstery needle and high-tension twine, 3 rows of side-stitching are applied by attaching the mattress border to the perimeter rows of springs. The skilled process strengthens the mattress border and provides edge-to-edge support across its width, increasing the sleeping surface by 20. The mattress is paired with our Lunar Plus deep divan base that features a padded fabric exterior and silver shepherds39; castor as standard. The base also features a double thick platform top and extra support in the weight bearing areas to provide improved strength and durability. Should you require storage, the drawers come with extra strapping for reinforcement and ball bearing runners for a smooth gliding action.
