Dura Tyne Crib 5 Contract Mattress - 4ft Small Double; Primarily designed to cater for the hospitality and commercial industry, the Tyne contract mattress is manufactured to strict Crib 5 specifications. Its compulsory for the above establishments to comply with BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further than those required for domestic use. Upholstered in a typical contract striped damask fabric, it benefits from a hand tufted finish that ensures the layers of hypo-allergenic fillings stay in place. At the core of the mattress is its spring system, made up of rows of hourglass shaped open coil springs, set out in rows running from head to toe. Each row is joined at the top and bottom by spiral helical wires before a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter springs to strengthen the edge. Although Crib 5 mattresses are designed for use in commercial properties, they are widely used in family homes, thanks to their enhanced fire regularity standards.
