Markus Wittassek – The furniture expert

Thanks to his many years of experience in the furniture industry, Markus knows almost everything about the subject and is happy to share his knowledge with you.
His passion for furniture began back in 1999, when, after training as an industrial business management assistant, he took his first job at Rauch Möbelwerke, one of the largest manufacturers of bedroom furniture in Europe. He then moved on to the Schaumann furniture store, where over more than ten years he was able to extend his bedroom expertise to the other areas of the home.
Since 2018 he has been an important part of living24.uk, first as Head of Category Management and later as Head of Category Management, Content & Social Media. Today he is indispensable and is also the first port of call internally for anything to do with the furniture trade, furniture knowledge and furniture care. There is still plenty to learn from Markus!
In his free time you will find him either at the gym or out running around Hamburg's Alster lake. He also shares a love of marathons with his co-author Thessa: the two happily compete for the better time or the more creative Christmas running costume. To balance out all that sport, Markus is an enthusiastic fan of the latest musicals and cabaret shows.
