The mattress benefits from a traditional hand tufted finish, with a single black tuft in the bottom right-hand corner to indicate the inclusion of Hampshire wool. Spring counts are based on a 5ft king size, with the Sublime made up of a core of 1000 pocket springs and 500 small tablet pocket springs on either side. Housed in their own cloth sleeves, pocket springs are small in diameter compared to open coils and are totally independent of any neighbouring springs. The springs are able to move freely so the load on one is not affected by any surrounding springs, providing piston-like support to each part of your body. Reserved for premium mattresses, it features side-stitching; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes experienced craftsmen many years to master. The side stitching process involves sewing the outer row of springs to the mattress border using a long upholstery needle and high-tension twine.
